Strataderm 10g
Strataderm is a rapidly drying, non-sticky, transparent, silicone gel formulation for the treatment of both old and new scars as well as abnormal scar prevention, in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
When used as directed Strataderm dries to form a silicone gel sheet, a protective layer that is gas permeable and waterproof which hydrates, softens and protects your scar.
Strataderm is used to soften and flatten scars, relieve the itching and discomfort of scars as well as reduce redness and discoloration associated with scars.
Strataderm is easily applied to all areas of the skin, including exposed areas like the face and neck as well as joints and hairy areas without need for shaving.
Strataderm can be applied once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas, or as advised by your physician.
Strataderm was developed for use on all types of scars including those resulting from general and cosmetic surgery, trauma, chronic wounds, burns or bites, acne and other diseases of the skin etc.
Strataderm is suitable for people with sensitive skin and for children.
Strataderm is suitable to use on infants, during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
Intended use:
Strataderm is used for the prevention and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars.
Strataderm can also be used in conjunction with other invasive scar treatment options to improve overall results, including surgical excision and resuturing, intralesional injections and pressure garments.
Strataderm is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.
Strataderm is safe to use during pregnancy, whilst breastfeeding and on infants.
How much Strataderm do I need?
Strataderm does not soak into the skin, rather it dries to form a very thin layer that is less than the thickness of a piece of paper or as if you stretch a piece of household clingfilm over your skin. This is why one tube of Strataderm goes a long way and usually lasts for a treatment of 90 days or more.
Strataderm 10g is enough to treat a 5-7 cm linear scar for over 90 days.
